IEM Basketball, located in Aurora and serving the surrounding areas of Newmarket, Keswick, East Gwillimbury, and Bradford, is the leading basketball club in York Region. With a focus on providing opportunities for both girls and boys to participate in organized basketball, IEM Basketball offers a range of programs for players of all ages and skill levels.
Established in 2002, the club offers House League divisions for children aged 4-17, as well as REP programs for players aged 8-19. With over a hundred teams in the league, IEM Basketball has grown to become one of the largest basketball organizations in Ontario. The club also hosts March Break and Summer Camp programs to help players improve their skills and stay engaged with the sport during school breaks.
At IEM Basketball, the emphasis is not only on developing players' athletic abilities but also on fostering personal growth and preparing them for success both on and off the court. The league is run by a dedicated group of volunteers who serve on the Board of Directors and contribute their time as coaches, referees, statisticians, and more. Many of the coaches are NCCP Certified and bring years of experience in competitive basketball.
