The courts are also heated, providing a comfortable playing environment throughout the year. A viewing gallery with seating allows for spectators to watch matches. After a challenging game, members can unwind and socialise at the on-site bar.
Changing facilities and a sauna are also available for members' use.
In an effort to cater to diverse playing preferences, the Ickleford Squash Club promotes Squash 57, formerly known as Racketball. This alternative version of squash is gaining popularity among club members. The Squash 57 leagues at the club accommodate players of all skill levels. Equipment for Squash 57 can be borrowed from the sauna area.
CoachingFor those looking to improve their squash game, the club offers both group and individual coaching sessions. The resident squash coach, Greg Millhouse of Superstar Squash, is a qualified England squash level 3 coach. His coaching services are available for players of all ages, starting from three years old. Ladies and junior squash training sessions are also regularly conducted.
To become a member of the Ickleford Squash Club, interested individuals can submit an application form along with the appropriate subscription fee to the squash secretary. Non-members are welcome to try the club's facilities free of charge during club nights. Additionally, a trial membership is available for as little as 20.
