Prices for Chelmsford Lite card holders range from Monday to Friday mornings and afternoons (term time) to Monday and Wednesday evenings, and Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays mornings and afternoons. To save money on admission and skate hire, upgrade to an ourChelmsford Plus or monthly Premium membership.
During school holidays, don't miss out on Holiday Skate sessions at Riverside. You and your kids can enjoy fun ice skating sessions during these special times. Patch sessions are available for skaters who are Skate Grade 8 or above, allowing you to develop your skills for tests and competitions. Ski Grade sessions are not open to the public and may vary during holidays. Upgrade to a Patch monthly membership to save money.
Every weekend, Riverside ice rink transforms into Chelmsford's premier club with Ice Disco. From 7.30pm to 9.30pm on Fridays, you can enjoy club classics and chart hits with live music from DJ Edd Nicks. Please note that Ice Disco sessions are strictly for adults and not suitable for young families. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Family sessions are available on weekends for public ice skating. Make sure to book in advance using your OurChelmsford account as tickets will not be available at the door. All spectators must pay the full entry price.
To book your skating session, simply download the free Chelmsford City Sports app from Google Play or the App store. Cashless payments are accepted at the venue, so you don't have to worry about carrying cash. It's recommended to book in advance due to high demand, although there may be some tickets available at the door. For group bookings, make sure at least one member of your party has an ourChelmsford account. Private lessons with an ice professional are also available upon inquiry. Lockers and changing rooms are provided for your convenience. Please note that Friday club nights and Saturday and Sunday afternoon sessions may include loud music and lighting effects. For beginners, penguin, and snowman skating aids are available to make your first steps on the ice easier.
