One of their fantastic offerings is a gentle exercise group called Hydro-natal, specifically designed for mums-to-be and new mums in Trowbridge. Whether you're expecting a baby or have recently become a mum, this instructor-led session of low impact exercise and relaxation is the perfect way to take care of yourself.
Taking place every Tuesday evening at Seahorse Hydrotherapy Pool, these sessions have limited spaces available each week, so be sure to secure your spot promptly. The warm water at Seahorse Hydrotherapy Pool, with its inviting temperature of 33 degrees, provides excellent support for joints and promotes improved circulation and relaxation.
During the Hydro-natal sessions, you can expect a combination of gentle exercises, relaxation, and the opportunity to socialise with other mums-to-be. If you had limited exercise before pregnancy, it is advised to consult with your midwife before joining. However, if you were already involved in an aquatic-fitness or swimming program before pregnancy, Hydro-natal can be perfectly tailored to your needs, with adjustments advised as your pregnancy progresses. The small group setting allows the expert instructor to customise the exercises to each participant's fitness level.
As safety is a top priority, it is recommended to join the class after the 12-week scan or at least 6 weeks after giving birth. To ensure the well-being of all participants, a questionnaire will be sent beforehand. If, for any reason, you're not feeling well enough to exercise on your booked session, arrangements can be made to move it to another date.
When it comes to payment, Neptune Aquatics provides various options to suit your needs. You can choose to pay-as-you-go for £13 per session, or opt for session passes, which offer better value. These passes can also be used in other programs offered by Neptune Aquatics or even towards family and friends' pool hire.
