Houldsworth Bowling Club, situated at 63 Campbell Street, boasts two meticulously maintained bowling greens and a two-storey pavilion. There’s ample parking available, making it hassle-free for all visitors. The club is proud to have some of the best greens in Lanarkshire.
The pavilion has an impressive lounge on the first floor, providing a cosy and comfortable viewing spot for the main green. This lounge was recently developed to offer a better experience for both members and visitors.
Established in 1966, Houldsworth Bowling Club has built a rich history of competitive bowling. Members have represented Scotland on national and international stages, from the World Bowls Championships to the Commonwealth Games. The club values its local community ties, often working with schools for bowls coaching and opening its doors to various groups and organisations.
As the headquarters of the Lanarkshire Bowling Association, the club plays a key role in promoting the sport locally. There’s always a packed calendar of fixtures, ensuring there's something exciting for everyone throughout the season.
