Experience gorgeous summer days filled with horses, sunshine, fresh air, and more horses at the HORSEY DAY CAMP hosted by St. Andrews Stables. Each camper will be carefully paired with a lesson horse for the week, offering a unique opportunity to bond and learn. The daily schedule includes barn time for feeding and care, 2 unmounted theory lessons, 2 mounted riding lessons, and additional interactive barn activities. Depending on the weather, campers can enjoy engaging in either crafts or a refreshing dip in the pool post lunch. It is essential for campers to bring their own lunch, snacks, and drinks along with a swim suit, sandals, and towel if they wish to participate in pool time.
Helmets are mandatory for all riders and can be rented for $50 per week, although owning a personal helmet is encouraged and available for purchase at $140. Additionally, riders are required to have appropriate riding boots, with a rubber boot featuring a small heel being suitable. The total cost for the week-long HORSEY DAY CAMP is $425, with a non-refundable deposit of $175 ensuring the reservation of a spot due to the camp's popularity and limited capacity. The camp maintains small group sizes of a maximum of 10 campers per session, led by one primary instructor and two assistants to provide personalized attention and instruction. Parents are advised to book early and secure a spot by submitting the initial deposit, with full payment due at least one week before the camp commences.
The All-Age Camps are open to participants aged 7 years and older, with scheduled dates for 2024 falling on July 1, July 15, July 29, and August 12. An additional advanced camp is also in the works with the show starting at 2:00 pm on Fridays.
