Lucy Playne here, welcoming you to Horse Trekking Lake Okareka! 🐴 Lucy, an experienced horsewoman with over 40 years in the saddle and a British Horse Society Assistant Instructors Certificate, is excited to offer you an unforgettable horse trekking adventure in Rotorua's stunning lake district.
At Horse Trekking Lake Okareka, Lucy and the team are passionate about horses and committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned rider, their well-trained horses and breathtaking views of the Rotorua lakes will make your trek special.
Booking a trek is simple: choose your trek, pick a date, confirm your booking, and get ready to ride. For your convenience, Rotorua pickups are available to make joining us easier.
Safety is a top priority. We have a comprehensive Terms & Conditions policy to ensure the well-being of all our clients. Cancellations within 24 hours of the trek will be charged at 100%, but if a child under 12 can't ride, we refund 50%. All cancellations incur a 20% fee.
Please note that horse trekking has inherent risks, and while we take every precaution, Horse Trekking Lake Okareka isn't liable for injury, loss, or damage to personal property. We accept payments in New Zealand dollars and all prices include the 15% Goods and Services Tax. No refunds for no-shows and a 20% fee applies to cancellations made more than 24 hours before the trek.
For everyone's safety, anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be excluded from trekking without a refund. We’re also not liable for any property loss, damage, or personal injuries during the trek.
