Horning Sailing Club is well-known for hosting several prestigious open events, including the annual 3 Rivers Race, a challenging 24-hour endurance race on the rivers Bure, Ant, and Thurne. The club also organises the week-long Horning Regatta Week, attracting participants from across the country. Open events for Yeoman, YBOD, and Dinghy classes are also held throughout the year, providing opportunities for sailors to compete in various categories.

Horning Sailing Club is proud of its rich history and heritage. It was originally founded in 1910 as the Horning Town Sailing Club, with its headquarters at The Swan Hotel. After an amalgamation in 1938, the club was re-established as the Horning Sailing Club, with an impressive initial membership of 244. Today, the club continues to thrive and remains a beloved institution for sailing enthusiasts in the Norwich area.
