Richard Stangroom invites passionate anglers to Hook Lake Carp Fishery in Northaw Village, Hertfordshire. Nestled on a two-acre estate, this serene lake holds 55 stunning English carp, the biggest tipping the scales at 35lb 8oz.
From 1st May to 30th September 2024, Hook Lake is open for exclusive bookings, welcoming up to six anglers at a time. For the first time, three-night and four-night stays from Thursday to Sunday and Sunday to Thursday are on offer, providing ample time to enjoy peaceful, uninterrupted fishing.
In winter, from 1st October to 30th April, the lake transforms into a 25-person winter syndicate, keeping the fishing excitement alive through the colder months.
The fishery thrives under the management of a dedicated committee, originally formed by Richard Stangroom, Neil, and Piers, who bought the fishing rights in 1994. They, along with five others, bring their unique expertise to ensure the lake meets all necessary standards and collaborate with specialists for continuous improvement.
Hook Lake, surrounded by natural beauty, features pads, reeds, and snags, creating an inviting environment for anglers. The lake is home to carp, pike, and roach, offering a diverse fishing experience. For the best results, use boilies for bottom fishing and mixers for floater fishing or stalking with particles/naturals. Pre-baiting a couple of days in advance enhances winter fishing success during daylight hours.
While Hook Lake itself is without facilities, the nearby village of Northaw offers a pub, 'The Two Brewers', and supermarkets and restaurants are a short drive away in Cuffley and Potters Bar.
Whether you're a veteran or a novice, Richard welcomes you to Hook Lake Carp Fishery for an authentic and rewarding angling adventure. Book your exclusive session or join the winter syndicate today!
