The Holbrook Easter Fly-in is a must-attend event organised by the Holbrook Ultralight Club. Since 2006, this event has been a staple in the aviation community, drawing in pilots from all corners of Australia. Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 30th and Sunday, March 31st, 2024, at Holbrook Airfield (YHBK) in Holbrook, Australia.
Get ready for a weekend filled with refreshments, engaging forums, and socialising with fellow aviation enthusiasts. Starting at 9am on Saturday, the refreshments will keep you fueled up until 3pm on Sunday. Don't miss the Saturday afternoon Forums for exciting discussions on flying-related topics.
For those looking to unwind, a licensed bar will be open from 5pm on Saturday. And when hunger strikes, indulge in a delicious Fly-in Dinner served at the Club hangar on Saturday evening. With pre-dinner drinks at 6pm, followed by a scrumptious meal and an after-dinner speaker, it's an experience you won't want to miss.
Start your mornings right with the HULC barbeque breakfast from 7am to 9am on both Saturday and Sunday. Pilots can also take advantage of trial instructional flights and Biennial Flight Reviews throughout the weekend.
Awards await at the Fly-in, including trophies for Best RA-Aus Registered Aircraft, People's Choice, and Longest Distance Award. Winners will be announced at the Saturday night dinner, so make sure to be there.
Pilots flying in should take note of the main runways – 04/22 and 14/34 – as well as the Albury Controlled Airspace for a smooth arrival. Parking at the airfield is plentiful, with tiedown facilities and hangarage available. And if underwing camping isn't your style, transportation to nearby accommodations is just a stone's throw away.
The Holbrook Ultralight Club extends its gratitude to all its supporters who make events like these possible. Get ready for a weekend of aviation fun at the Holbrook Easter Fly-in!
