Welcome to Leicester City Hockey Club, a historic and thriving sports club that has been a pillar of the local community since 1894. With a rich legacy and a commitment to excellence, we have established ourselves as one of the oldest and most successful ladies hockey clubs in England.
In recent years, we have expanded our horizons and embraced inclusivity by welcoming men to our ranks. This move has proven to be a great success, and we now have a vibrant club that offers hockey opportunities to boys and girls, men and women from the age of 7 and up.
But it doesn't stop there – we are always looking for new ways to engage and cater to the diverse interests of our members. That's why we launched walking hockey in the 2019-20 season, a modified version of the game that has gained tremendous popularity among all age groups.
At Leicester City Hockey Club, we take pride in our strong competitive spirit. We boast an impressive lineup of 7 senior teams, consisting of 5 women's teams and 2 men's teams. Our junior teams are also flourishing, participating in local leagues, cups, and even reaching the prestigious National League levels.
We firmly believe that hockey is a sport for everyone, regardless of age or ability. Whether you're a seasoned player, an aspiring umpire, a passionate coach, or simply a dedicated supporter, we warmly welcome you to pick up a stick, blow a whistle, or even grab a clipboard.

In June 2023, we proudly unveiled our brand new Olympic standard pitch, a state-of-the-art facility that sets the stage for thrilling matches and unforgettable memories.
