Welcome to Hobbs Lake Trout Fishery!
Hobbs Lake, located in the scenic West Norfolk countryside, is a twenty-five-acre fishing spot that has become a haven for passionate fly-fishermen. Surrounded by untouched meadows, woods, and countryside, this former gravel pit offers a serene setting for anglers to indulge their love for fishing.
At Hobbs Lake Trout Fishery, they value the experience of fishing in a natural and authentic environment. That's why they focus on creating a 'Wild Trout' fishery and adhere to a policy of 'Catch and Release'. Over the years, their dedication to these principles has resulted in the cultivation of hard-fighting wild trout, making it an exciting challenge for any angler.
One of the highlights at Hobbs Lake are the 'Big Brownies' that can be found roaming the margins in search of prey. Their impressive strength and size make them a thrilling catch for any fisherman. Additionally, you'll find muscular Rainbows displaying breathtaking aerobatics once they've been hooked.
But the fishing experience doesn't stop at Hobbs Lake itself. As a member, you also gain access to 1.5 miles of the River Nar for trout fishing. This scenic river stretches for 26 miles, from its source to the sea, and is globally significant as one of the 200 chalk-stream waterways in the world. In fact, an astounding 165 of these waterways are located right here in the UK. Due to its unique and important status, the River Nar is protected by a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
