Hobart Irish Dancing, also known as Scoil Rince Ni Kelly School of Irish Dance, is Hobart's only dance school that offers classes in the traditional art form of Irish Dance. More than just a school, Hobart Irish Dancing is a community that supports each other and fosters amazing friendships, all under the guidance of Principal Teacher Bronwyn Kelly ADCRG, who was born and raised in Hobart.
With 12 years of teaching experience and 20 years of dancing experience, Bronwyn takes pride in creating a school that not only focuses on dancing but also emphasises the importance of friendships, hard work, dedication, fitness, and most importantly, having fun.
In addition to regular classes, Hobart Irish Dancing also provides dancing displays for special events such as weddings, dinners, and St. Patrick's Day events. Whether you're interested in joining the school or booking a dancing display, all emails, and phone calls are welcome for more information.
The school offers classes on various days throughout the week. On Mondays, there is a class from 3:30pm to 4:30pm for beginners aged 6 years and older, followed by advanced and open level solo classes until 7pm. Wednesdays are dedicated to private lessons and senior open level classes from 4:30pm to 7:30pm, followed by an adult class from 7:30pm to 8:30pm (pay on the night for adults). Fridays also offer private lessons from 3:30pm, followed by senior open level classes.
On Saturdays, there is a Junior Jiggers class for 3-4 year-olds from 9:30am to 10:15am, followed by private lessons and a fitness class.
