Hills Speleology Club Ltd. (HSC)

Hills Speleology Club Ltd. (HSC) is a caving club located in the Hills District of Sydney, Australia. As a member of the Australian Speleological Federation, HSC welcomes individuals from all over Sydney and beyond.

The club's main activity is caving, which includes exploring both horizontal and vertical systems. Members engage in various activities within the field of caving, such as surveying, photography, hydrology, geology, conservation, Single Rope Technique (SRT), and first aid. In addition to caving, HSC also participates in bush walking, rock climbing, skiing, kayaking, and other outdoor adventures.

HSC is actively involved in community efforts to preserve and protect Karst land. Members have assisted landowners in planting trees and have supported National Park initiatives to restore historic buildings and clear caves of debris. The club also organises expeditions to more remote caving areas, such as Nullarbor, Tasmania, and New Zealand.

Regular field days are conducted to introduce new members to caving techniques, including rope and ladder skills. HSC holds regular training and social meetings where members can share photos, attend instructional training sessions, and listen to presentations on special interests. Planning and committee meetings are also held during these gatherings.

The club's social and training meetings take place at 8:00pm on the first Wednesday of each month. Although the meeting locations may vary, visitors are always welcome. For information on meeting locations and topics, interested individuals can contact HSC.
