Highland Athletic FC's coaching staff organises two training sessions per week at Bught Park in Inverness. The team's individual training is also logged and can be seen on Strava.
Highland Athletic FC was established in March 2019 when players from two local 5-a-side teams, Murder on Zidanes Floor and Skhedija Brugge, merged together. In the same year, the two merged teams formed a Limited Company and became Highland Athletic FC. Through digital channels, the club attracted a diverse group of players from the Inverness area, and currently has over 30 registered players for the 2022 season.
After a challenging first season affected by COVID, Highland Athletic FC finished at the bottom of the Inverness and District FA Division 2 in 2021 with only 2 points. However, the club aimed to improve in 2022 and with the addition of quality players, they finished in mid-table with 19 points and reached the quarter-finals of the cup. The club's goal is to continue this upward trajectory, aiming for promotion to Division 1 in 2023 and achieving further cup success. At Highland Athletic FC, players are selected based on their skills rather than connexions, and if you prove yourself, you will get the opportunity to play.
