High Five Salsa is a vibrant salsa dance club located in Redhill, Surrey. The club offers Cuban salsa and rueda de casino classes, providing a fantastic opportunity to learn a new skill, meet new people, and get some exercise while immersing yourself in the lively world of salsa dancing. The evening starts with doors opening and sign-up at 19:15, followed by two levels of Rueda de Casino – Havana Level and Matanzas Level – at 19:30. At 20:15, there is an opportunity to sign up for the next classes, and at 20:30, the Partnerwork Beginners' Course (Foundations) begins.
It's important to note that these courses are closed and start each month, so drop-in lessons are not available. After the lessons, there is a free social dancing session until around 22:00, where participants can practise their newly learned skills or simply enjoy the atmosphere and socialise.
Thursday's lessons take place at the Harlequin Theatre in Redhill. The partnerwork beginners' course (Foundations) is the focus of the evening, running from 20:00 to 21:00. As with the Monday lessons, signing up in advance is required for the 5-week course, and drop-in lessons are not available. The cost for the partnerwork beginners' course is 35 per person for the 5 weeks, with a special student rate of 25 per course.
Rueda de Casino lessons are also available on Thursday evenings, and no booking is required. The cost for drop-in lessons is 10 per night or 45 per voucher of 5 nights. Similar to the Monday lessons, after the classes, there is an opportunity for free social dancing until approximately 22:00.
In addition to the weekly lessons, High Five Salsa also organises and participates in various local and international events.
