Heytesbury & Sutton Veny Cricket Club, located in Heytesbury, is a popular sports club that was founded in 2007 through the merger of Heytesbury and Sutton Veny cricket clubs. The U11, U13, U15, and Senior teams have dedicated training sessions every Thursday at the WCC Academy from 1st February 2024 for a nine-week period. Additionally, there is a Women's Indoor League from January to March 2024, providing an opportunity for women to participate in the sport.
For younger players, the club offers the Dynamos Programme for children aged 7–9 years. This programme takes place every Sunday at Sutton Veny for 13 weeks, starting from 21st April. The All Stars Programme is also available for children aged 5–7 years, taking place on Sundays at Sutton Veny for eight weeks, starting from 5th May.
The club also hosts a range of events throughout the year, including the highly anticipated Sutton Veny 10K and fun run, which takes place on Monday, 6th May. Cricketers and families can participate in the 10K run or the 1K Family Fun Run, making it a wonderful opportunity for the cricketing community and their loved ones to come together.
For cricket enthusiasts, the club organises the Australia House match, an exciting event taking place on Sunday, 23rd June at Sutton Veny. This match promises an enjoyable day of cricket and a chance to witness some exceptional talent on the field.
