Hello everyone,

Michael here. Just wanted to share some updates and highlights about Herons Leisure Centre with you all. As many of you know, Herons Leisure Centre in Herne Bay and our other locations in Canterbury and Whitstable are part of a registered charity dedicated to offering a wide range of activities for everyone, no matter your age or fitness level.

We’ve got improvements lined up! There’s a big £600k upgrade coming to Whitstable Swimming Pool soon, which we think will really enhance your experience. While the works might cause some temporary disruptions, these changes are important for better comfort and enjoyment.

We believe in a balance between mind and body here, so we focus not just on physical fitness but on the whole person. Whether you’re into fitness full-time or just starting out, we’re here to help with tips and advice to get you on the right track.

Work-life balance is tough for many, and Michael recognises that. We want to encourage everyone to prioritise self-care and relaxation to achieve a good balance. Our resources aim to help you build a sustainable and healthy lifestyle.

Looking ahead, we’re planning significant investments at Kingsmead Leisure Centre. We’ve submitted a planning application to expand and add more to our facilities so you can enjoy even more in the community.

Membership at Herons Leisure Centre isn’t mandatory, but for those who frequent the centre, it’s a great way to get more out of your visits and enjoy some exclusive perks. Whether you’re into strength training, cardio, or just a relaxing swim, our doors are always open.
