The head coach, Ste Henshall, emphasises the club's family atmosphere and the presence of full families or parents and children training together. They have a passion for teaching and helping individuals achieve their goals. Starting something like Brazilian Jiu Jitsu can be intimidating, but Henshall BJJ provides a supportive environment to make the journey enjoyable and fulfilling.

Henshall BJJ offers various classes and courses to cater to different needs. Their BJJ beginners course is designed for complete beginners of all ages and abilities. The four-week course, held every Monday and Thursday from 7. 30pm to 8.

30pm, covers fundamental techniques and principles used in BJJ. The course costs 50 per person, and limited availability is offered, so it is advised to contact them as soon as possible to book a place.

For children, Henshall BJJ believes in instilling the values of hard work, perseverance, and goal-setting early on. The children's classes are run by instructors who have their own children in the classes, ensuring sincerity and enthusiasm. Through jiu-jitsu, children learn confidence, physical fitness, and mental strength.

Beginners are also welcome to join the regular classes, but Henshall BJJ understands that starting Brazilian Jiu Jitsu can be daunting. To ease the process, they offer beginners courses throughout the year, usually conducted every other month. The four-week syllabus provides comprehensive training in a safe and non-competitive environment, covering positional hierarchy, submissions, takedowns, escapes, and the principles of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
