Helensburgh & Districts Little Athletics Centre (HLAC) is an athletic field located in Helensburgh, Australia. The facility serves as a hub for the local community to participate in little athletics programmes and competitions. Throughout the year, HLAC organises various events and competitions, including Zone Entries and Region 8 Meets. These events provide athletes in the age groups of U7 to U17 the opportunity to showcase their skills across multiple events. Successful performance at these meets can lead to progression to the State level, which takes place at the prestigious SOPAC facility.
HLAC's season typically starts in October, with weekly competitions held every Friday night at the Rex Jackson Oval in Helensburgh. Athletes are provided with a dedicated warm-up period before the commencement of the competitions at 5:45 pm. The season's schedule is thoughtfully planned around major events such as the UCI World Cycling Championships to ensure maximum participation and convenience for all members.
Registrations for the upcoming season can be completed through the Gameday Platform, with fees ranging from $100 for Tiny Tots to $160 for U6 to U17 athletes. Active Kids vouchers are accepted, offering families the opportunity to make athletics more accessible and affordable.
