Nestled in the stunning countryside, the academy offers unparalleled opportunities for off-road hacking. The tuition at the academy is bespoke and provided on a one-to-one basis, catering to riders of all levels, from beginners to advanced riders competing at a high level. Students have the privilege of being taught on competition horses, ensuring a top-notch learning experience.

The academy specialises in Showing, Side Saddle, and Dressage, offering comprehensive training and guidance in these disciplines. Whether you are a young rider aged 4 or an adult looking to enhance your equestrian skills, Helen Cowley Riding Academy has the expertise and resources to meet your needs.

The academy is also a Licenced Equestrian Academy with the licence number 21/0742/Ride, further demonstrating its commitment to maintaining high standards in equestrian education and training. Located at Whiteheads, Hatfield Broad Oak, Bishop's Stortford, Herts CM22 7JX, the academy is easily accessible for riders in the surrounding areas.

When it comes to booking a riding lesson at Helen Cowley Riding Academy, it's important to come prepared. Riders are required to bring their own professionally fitted riding hat. However, if required, a hat can be hired for 5, although the fit cannot be guaranteed. Riding gloves are also recommended, as tack is shared among riders.

For the best riding experience, it is ideal to come equipped with a professionally fitted riding hat, gloves, back protector, and crop.

For the safety and well-being of everyone on the premises, it is a requirement that all children under the age of 16 be accompanied by an adult. Parents are required to stay on site with their child(ren) and keep them under supervision at all times. Approaching horses without a staff member is not permitted for safety reasons.

Although the academy loves dogs, it is not allowed to bring them to the stables due to strict health and safety regulations. The academy appreciates visitors following these guidelines for the safety and comfort of all.

In terms of cancellation, lessons can be rescheduled with 48 hours' notice by using the “Reschedule Button” on the reminder message. Unfortunately, no refunds are given once a lesson is booked. However, if a lesson is cancelled with the required notice, the rider will receive credit to rebook. If less than 48 hours' notice is given, a refund cannot be provided.

Parking is available at the academy, but during busy times, it may be limited. In such cases, visitors are requested to park safely and considerately, and if necessary, park cars at the side of the road, avoiding blocking the driveway to the stables. Ensuring access to the horses' stables is essential.

For any further questions or inquiries, the academy can be reached at info@hcridingacademy. Co. nz. Helen Cowley Riding Academy looks forward to welcoming riders and their families to experience the joy and excitement of horse riding in a safe and supportive environment.
