Heads of the Valleys Sub Aqua Club is inviting new members who are keen on scuba diving. Based in Ebbw Vale, the club welcomes anyone interested in diving, providing a safe and enjoyable environment to pick up and hone diving skills. Dylan, the dedicated organiser, ensures the club follows the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) training system. The entry level qualification you’ll work towards is the “Ocean Diver.”
The club offers a blend of theory lessons, swimming assessments, sheltered water sessions, and thrilling open water dives. Dylan and the team plan regular diving trips, catering to both beginners and seasoned divers, exploring everything from local shore dives to wreck and reef adventures.
Unsure if scuba diving is for you? Try Dive sessions are available, letting you experience diving in a secure setting with the guidance of experienced instructors. Just bring your swimwear, towel, and a completed medical form.
To join, you’ll need to sign up with the British Sub Aqua Club and get the necessary training materials. Dylan recommends getting your own mask, fins, and snorkel for comfort. While the club loans out SCUBA gear during training, having your own is ideal for open water dives.
