We provide on the charter, but the success of catching fish or seeing whales depends on various factors such as weather conditions and the behaviour of the marine life. However, our experienced crew will do their best to maximise your chances of a successful and enjoyable trip.
At Headland Fishing Charters, we offer a variety of trips to cater to different preferences and occasions. Our Reef Fishing trips target species such as Snapper, Morwong, Flathead, and Gummy Shark. These trips are perfect for those looking to reel in some delicious seafood and enjoy the beauty of the ocean. During these trips, it is not uncommon to spot Dolphin pods and perhaps even Whales if they are in season.
We provide all necessary fishing equipment and bait, and upon returning to shore, we clean the fish for you to take with you. Simply bring your own hat, sunscreen, food, and drinks, and we will take care of the rest. Our Reef Fishing trips are available as either shared charters or exclusive hires and cater to a maximum of 12 people. Prices start at $140 for adults and $120 for children under 16.
For the thrill-seekers and serious anglers, we offer Game Fishing trips targeting Black, Blue, and Striped Marlin, Yellow Fin Tuna, and Albacore. Available for exclusive hire only, these full-day trips are available in the months of January, February, March, and April, with prices starting at $1500. These trips are ideal for those looking for an adrenaline rush and the opportunity to catch some prized game fish.
During the months of September, October, and November, we also offer Whale Watching cruises. This is your chance to witness the awe-inspiring sight of Humpback Whales on their migration along the 'Humpback Highway. ' Our cruises last between 2 to 3 hours, depending on the whale's location and weather conditions. Whether you're a nature enthusiast or simply want to experience something truly unforgettable, our Whale Watching trips are a must-do activity.
