Duncan, the organiser, wanted to share an update and a bit about his journey with the sports community.
Duncan has been dedicated to the fitness industry for many years, starting with competitive junior curling. Now based in Edinburgh, he is a passionate personal trainer committed to helping individuals improve themselves.
Throughout his career, Duncan has experienced various injuries and setbacks, including time on crutches and a broken shoulder. These experiences have allowed him to understand his body better and recognise the importance of balance. Duncan has ranged from being overweight and inactive to overly focused on exercise and diet. He now maintains a healthy balance, content with his physique and strength without the constant need to weigh himself.
With his qualifications, including a Level 3 Personal Trainer certification and a Level 3 Award in Supporting Pre and Postnatal Clients with Exercise and Nutrition, Duncan is well-equipped to assist individuals at any stage of their fitness journey. He is also a member of The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA).
For personal training, Duncan offers 1:1 sessions at The Royal Commonwealth Pool Gym specifically for females. These packages range from one 60-minute workout per week to two workouts per week, with optional nutritional guidance and support through a dedicated WhatsApp number.
For those who prefer flexibility, Duncan offers online coaching options. The Gym Improve package includes two weekly strength sessions and one fitness session. The Hybrid package combines in-person training with in-gym online sessions tailored to individual goals. The Bespoke package provides a personalised in-gym training programme, weekly check-ins, and ongoing support.
