Hawth Gymnastics started its journey in the summer of 1986, offering gymnastics classes for people of all ages. Initially, the club operated from the basement of the old Crawley Leisure Centre, sharing the space with Crawley Borough Council and Crawley Boys (formerly R & A) Gymnastics Club. Despite the modest facilities, Hawth Gymnastics quickly gained popularity, and by 1998, the club acquired a small hut in Tilgate Forest to accommodate additional pre-school and recreational classes. Membership grew to more than 200 members, and the club's success continued to flourish, with gymnasts representing the club at various levels, including County, Regional, and National competitions.
In 2003, plans for a new leisure centre in Crawley were announced, and Hawth Gymnastics was granted the opportunity to operate a purpose-built gym at the new facility, known as K2. The club took over the Council-run classes and merged with Crawley Boys Club to form the Hawth Gymnastics of today. Since relocating to K2 in November 2005, Hawth Gymnastics has experienced tremendous growth. The staff has undergone further training and development, and the gymnasts have achieved numerous successes in competitions.
At Hawth Gymnastics, the focus is on providing top-quality gymnastics classes for all ages and abilities. The club offers a wide range of classes, including pre-school, recreational, holiday courses, TeamGym, Men's Artistic, and Adults gymnastics. Additionally, private and open sessions are available for those who prefer personalised training. The club emphasises the importance of creating a positive and inclusive environment, ensuring the well-being and welfare of all members.
Hawth Gymnastics takes pride in its passionate and dedicated team, led by Sally-Anne Warner, who continues to inspire and support gymnasts in their gymnastics journey.
