Join Hawks Netball Club this Wednesday as they honour Lil O'Sullivan, one of the club's greatest players, who will be playing her 200th game in Hawks colours. Lil, who joined the club back in 2006, has quickly established herself as one of Victoria's premier midcourters.
Throughout her illustrious career, Lil has achieved numerous accolades. She has been selected in Victorian state teams, played for the Melbourne Phoenix in the national competition, and represented the Canberra Darters in the Australian Netball League. Lil's creative smarts and unmatched work ethic both on and off the court have made her a force to be reckoned with.
Lil's impact on the Hawks Netball Club has been immense. Not only was she a vital member of the club's 2008 Championship division premiership side, but she has also been a key player in several finals series. In 2018, she came out of semi-retirement to help lead the Hawks to their first finals series since 2013, and despite facing injuries, she suited up again in 2019 to support her team.
Lil attributes her success to the unwavering support from her coaches and teammates. She considers playing alongside her closest friends as the highlight of her career. This Wednesday, Hawks Netball Club invites you to celebrate Lil O'Sullivan's extraordinary achievements.
Jacqui Hansen, the head coach of Hawks Netball Club, describes Lil as a match-winner with a creative spark that has not faded over the years. Witness Lil's 200th game against the Southern Saints this Wednesday, June 26 at 9:40 PM. The intense match will take place on Court 2 at the State Netball and Hockey Centre.
