Hastings Skatepark

Hastings Skatepark, designed and built by Wheelscape, is a top-notch facility situated in Hastings, UK. Stu, the organiser, is thrilled to share that the park first opened its doors in August 2010, with an extension added in September 2013. The skatepark, nestled in a beautiful coastal spot, provides a picturesque backdrop for skate sessions.

At the heart of Hastings Skatepark is an impressive all-concrete bowl section. Starting on one side, there's a large oval-shaped old school pool complete with pool coping, meant to replicate the classic pools of the west coast. There's even a small gap in the side for added challenge. Moving up from the pool, skaters will find a level-up bowl, featuring pool coping on one side and metal on the other for a varied skating experience.

Next up is a more open rectangular bowl, set a level down from the previous one. The back corner of this section wraps around a large volcano, leading into a narrower part with various bumps and corners to pump along. This section finishes with the UK's first cradle, ideal for experienced skaters seeking speed.

The skatepark also has a street section. Although not as prominent as the bowl, it's a great spot for practising street skating basics. It includes a long back and forth run with a flat bank and quarter pipe on either side, a lengthy ledge parallel to the run, and a manny pad with a rail in the middle.

Located at Falaise Road, White Rock Gardens, Hastings TN34 1ES, the skatepark is easily accessible from Hastings train station or the Summerfields Leisure Centre bus stop. While there are no on-site toilet facilities, free options are available nearby in the leisure centre.
