Haslemere Sub Aqua Club

Welcome to Haslemere Sub Aqua Club, a friendly scuba diving and social club located in Haslemere, Surrey. With over 50 years of history since its establishment in 1971, the club has grown to approximately 25 members. Whether you are new to diving or an experienced diver from any agency, you are warmly welcomed to join the club.

Haslemere Sub Aqua Club offers more than just diving. We also have a vibrant programme of social events where non-diving partners, family, and friends can join members for summer barbecues, mountain bike rides, Christmas dinners, quiz evenings, and much more. We believe that diving is more enjoyable when you're surrounded by friends.

As a club, we own two fully equipped boats for diving purposes. Our larger boat is located on the south coast during the summer, allowing easy access to dives around Sussex and the Isle of Wight when weather conditions permit. The smaller boat is kept in our boatshed in Haslemere year-round, ready for local or distant dives. Our dive programme includes local dives on the south coast and inland training lakes during the summer, as well as trips to various destinations around the UK such as the Farne Islands, Porthkerris, and Portland.

We use our own RIBs or charter hardboats for diving, and occasionally even dive from the shore. For those seeking warmer waters, we organise trips to overseas destinations including the Red Sea, Turkey, and Indonesia.

Skill development is important to us, which is why we offer monthly pool training sessions throughout the year. These sessions take place on Thursday evenings at 9 pm at Haslemere Leisure Centre, followed by a casual drink at the Mill. We also organise meetups on other Thursday evenings, either at the boatshed or elsewhere, and sometimes even virtually via zoom. Our experienced instructors are dedicated to helping you build your skills and confidence in a relaxed and friendly environment, both in the pool and out on dives.

The qualifications you earn through the Sub Aqua Association are recognised globally.
