Harpenden Badminton Club

Welcome to Harpenden Badminton Club, a highly successful club located in the historic Roman city of Verulamium, now known as St. Albans. Our newly constructed amphitheatre, situated close to the hypocaust in Verulamium Park at Westminster Lodge, offers a fantastic setting for our members to enjoy the sport of badminton.

Harpenden Badminton Club caters to players of all ages and abilities, providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone. Our patricians, or members, regularly come together to play Battledores, the original name for badminton, on our four courts. While our space may not allow for chariot racing or other gladiatorial games, we can guarantee an enjoyable and competitive badminton experience.

Our Gladiators and Gladiettes, as we call our teams, participate in various leagues including the Hertfordshire county league and the SW Herts league. We have achieved considerable success in these leagues and continue to strive for excellence on the court.

At Harpenden Badminton Club, we offer limited membership opportunities. If you're interested in joining our club, we invite you to attend our Tuesday evening club night as a guest.
