

Coburg Harriers Athletics Club welcomes new members to their friendly and inclusive club located at the Harold Stevens Athletic Track in Coburg North. With a rich history dating back to 1896, the club boasts past members who have achieved Olympic medals, Australian records, and representation in the Commonwealth Games.
The club provides a supportive and competitive environment, offering qualified coaches to help athletes of all levels reach their goals, whether they are recreational enthusiasts or aspiring gold medallists. Members have the opportunity to compete in Athletics Victoria events, including cross country in winter and track and field in summer, or they can join casual training groups.
In addition to regular training and competitions, the club also hosts fun runs and an annual 24-Hour Carnival, which attracts participants from around the world. Committed to being a friendly, inclusive, and diverse club, Coburg Harriers Athletics Club actively engages with the local community.
For track hire, the Harold Stevens Athletics Track and Clubrooms are available through the Coburg Athletics Ground Management Committee, which is made up of representatives from Coburg Harriers and the Coburg Little Athletics Centre. The committee, an incorporated body responsible for managing the grounds and buildings on behalf of the two clubs, oversees the leasehold from Moreland City Council.

Coburg Harriers Athletics Club invites individuals to join their community, supporting recreational athletes and aspiring champions alike. Membership includes access to regular training sessions, coaches, competitions, and fun runs, all within a supportive and enjoyable atmosphere.
The club features a range of events throughout the year, including the 2023 Winter Season AV XCR (cross country and road) events, club handicap runs, and various fun runs. The first event of 2024 will be the New Years Resolution Trail/Hill Run on Sunday, January 21st, offering a 9k Open Challenge, 6k Open and Junior, and 3k Junior events.
The club also offers a Junior Development Squad (JDS) open to junior Harriers and Little Athletics members aged 13–25 years old. This socially focused group provides technique-driven training sessions with specific loads tailored to the individuals' needs. Athletes from a range of disciplines, including triathletes, long jumpers, hurdlers, and runners from sprints to long distances, can benefit from the JDS programmes.
