Hargate Hill Equestrian Centre is more than just a riding school. The weight limit for riders is 15 stone. The riding school is licenced and inspected by the High Peak Borough Council, with a licence number of HPBC/RE0002.
The equestrian centre offers a range of lessons for both children and adults. Younger children can start with a 30-minute walkout on the lead rein to build confidence and balance. From there, they can progress to private lessons and eventually join group lessons. Adults can choose between 30 or 60-minute private lessons or join one of the adult group sessions.
Advanced riders can also enjoy hacks, provided they have completed a 30-minute private lesson/assessment confirming their skills meet the required standard.
Aside from horse riding, Hargate Hill Equestrian Centre also boasts two glorious lakes that are well stocked with a variety of coarse fish, including Crucian Carp, Perch, Tench, and Roach. Fishing is available from 6:00 am to 9:30 pm every day. The centre also has a range of facilities, including an indoor school, outdoor school, working hunter fences, classrooms, a 50m × 50m outdoor arena, a caf, restroom facilities, horsebox parking, and a car park.
