Hambleton Golf & Repair Centre, located in LaSalle, has been a staple in the community since 1976 when it first opened as Sandwich West Driving Range. Over the years, it has gone through several ownership changes, but it continues to uphold a tradition of excellence in golf instruction and services.
Founded by entrepreneurs Ernie Renaud and Dan McKrow, the driving range was later acquired by Harold Hambleton, a respected figure in the golfing community, who left the legacy to his daughter Diane. Eventually, the ownership passed on to Randy McQueen, a former Head Golf Professional from Roseland.
At Hambleton Golf & Repair Centre, visitors can expect professional instruction from PGA Professional Randy McQueen, who offers private and semi-private lessons for adults and juniors. The facility boasts a short game practice area, large grass tees, and artificial and bent grass greens for putting. Additionally, there are plans for new and improved bunkers in the near future.
The centre also runs a Summer Academy for juniors aged 6-15, providing them with the opportunity to hone their skills in a fun and supportive environment. Registration for the academy can be done online or in person at the pro shop.
For those looking to sharpen their golfing skills or simply enjoy a day out on the range, Hambleton Golf & Repair Centre is the ideal destination. With a rich history and commitment to quality service, it continues to be a leading golfing facility in LaSalle.
