Teams can easily sign up for a season through our website. Once the deposit is processed, the team will be officially registered into the league. We accept payment via cheques or online transfer, and deposits are refunded at the end of the season as long as the team attends all fixtures. Match fees can be paid in advance for the entire season or arranged into monthly standing orders, with the average cost ranging between 5-8 per player per week.
The duration of games varies depending on the venue, but they generally last between 30–50 minutes. We require teams to pay a deposit to ensure commitment and to avoid any frustrating situations where a team fails to show up, leading to wasted journeys and disappointment for the opposing team. If a team fails to show up for a match, the fee is deducted from their deposit, and they automatically lose the game with a score of 5-0. Continuous absence from two games may lead to removal from the league.
At Hallowed Turf, we value and recognise the efforts of our players. We award medals and trophies to the league winners and runners-up, and we also have additional football-related prizes for the Top Goalscorer and Star Player from each league. After each game, the referee selects a star player, and the player with the most nominations at the end of the season receives a special prize.
