David Bamforth’s Halifax Zen Shin Jujitsu and Self-defence Workshops ⚔️ have been shaping champions since 2005. This independent, non-profit club in the heart of Halifax is dedicated to teaching Samurai-based self-defence skills to everyone, regardless of age or experience. Here, it’s all about balance, leverage, and speed over raw power.
In today’s world, these skills are invaluable, whether you're a novice or a seasoned professional. At Halifax Zen Shin Jujitsu, experienced instructors and students share a deep reservoir of martial arts expertise, creating enriching sessions for all.
Join the club to develop at your own pace, in a supportive, budget-friendly setting. Sessions are available for kids (6+), teens, and adults of any fitness level. Expect to boost your functional fitness, survival skills, and overall well-being.
Beyond the physical gains, experience stress relief, confidence boosts, better social interactions, and enhanced improvisational skills. The club’s experienced black belt instructors guarantee a safe and encouraging learning environment.
Social events like outdoor training, mountain biking, meals, and visits to Circle Martial Arts Centre in Manchester offer extra chances to bond and grow outside regular workshops.
Ready to explore? Your first session is on the house 🙌. Just show up on Saturdays (4:30 pm - 6 pm) or Sundays (5 pm - 6 pm) in a t-shirt and loose joggers. Parking is just 50p/hour, and it’s a quick 5-10 minute walk from local train and bus stations.
