Halifax Canoe Club, based in Sowerby Bridge, Halifax, is a lively and family-focused club situated on the beautiful River Calder. Offering a variety of activities for paddlers of all levels, the club takes pride in its multi-award-winning status for exceptional coaching and exciting trips throughout the year.
Beginners can start with the club's beginners' courses, held either on the river or in the pool, depending on the season. These courses provide a safe space for newcomers to learn the basics of canoeing and kayaking.
