The Hockey club is excited to announce this unique opportunity for young players to improve their defensive skills and knowledge. With a focus on individual attention and skill development, the Halifax Defenceman Hockey School aims to provide a comprehensive experience for participants. The program will cover a wide range of topics, from defensive tactics to effective collaboration with a defensive partner on the ice.
Taking place from July 15 to July 19, 2024, at the Halifax Civic Arena, the school is open to Defencemen aged U11 (Atom), U13 (PeeWee), and U15 (Bantam), with players at the U9 (Novice) Advanced level also considered. With a limited group size of 24 players per group, participants can expect a high level of coaching and individual attention throughout the week.
The schedule includes 2.5 hours of on-ice training daily, as well as daily off-ice sessions to complement on-ice work. This will provide a total of 12.5 hours of on-ice training over the course of the school, giving participants a well-rounded experience both on and off the ice.
