Hello everyone,
Max here, just wanted to drop a quick note about Haigh FootGolf in Wigan. If you haven’t checked it out yet, it's one of those places that combines the good old games of golf and football into something really fun.
What’s great about Haigh FootGolf is that you don't need all that fancy golf gear. Just bring yourself, a football, and be ready for a good time. The 9-hole course is set up for everyone, whether you're just starting out or a bit of a pro. It's got a mix of simple and tricky holes that'll keep you on your toes, plus you get some cracking views of Haigh Woodland Park while you're at it.
Booking is a doddle – just hop on their website and you’re sorted. The whole game takes about an hour, so it's perfect for a quick outing. Just remember to bring your own football, training shoes, and comfy clothing. And leave the studded and bladed boots at home – they’re not allowed on the course.
A quick heads-up on the rules: keep up with the other groups and let faster players pass if needed, wait for the ball to stop completely before your next shot, and make sure your tee shots are behind the tee line. Play the ball as it lies and remember, only one ball should be moving at a time.
They’ve got decent prices too – kids under 16 play for £6 and adults for £7. It’s great for a casual day out and also spot on for birthdays, stag and hen dos, or even a bit of team building.
If you need to get in touch with Haigh FootGolf or find out where they are, drop them an email or give them a call. You’ll find them in Haigh Woodland Park, and they’re open from 10am to 5pm, April through October, weather permitting.
So, whether you’re new to FootGolf or a seasoned player, Haigh FootGolf in Wigan is a cracking place to have some fun. Grab your football and head down for a great time!
Cheers,
Max
