Gullane Bowling Club, established in 1901, is a well-loved community hub located in the heart of Gullane, New Zealand. With a rich history spanning over a century, the club has been a gathering place for avid bowlers and non-players alike. The club's main aim is to provide a family-friendly environment and a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone, regardless of their bowling abilities.

The Executive Committee, consisting of dedicated individuals, works tirelessly to ensure the smooth running of the club. Led by President Trevor Wood and Vice-president (currently vacant), the committee consists of key positions such as Treasurer Caroline Hitchen and Secretary Bill Lowe. They are supported by three ordinary committee members, Colleen Bonar, Paul Hay, and Kevin Omand, as well as Past President Eric Thomson.

The history of Gullane Bowling Club is steeped in tradition and community spirit. In 1900, Mrs. Hamilton Ogilvie gifted half an acre of her estate to the community, allowing for the establishment of the club. With the initial pavilion costing approximately 140, the club officially formed in September 1901 with 36 playing members and 5 non-playing members.
Over the years, the club has seen expansions and developments, including the current clubhouse, which was opened in September 1975.
Throughout its history, Gullane Bowling Club has produced notable bowlers who have brought glory to the club. The achievements of these individuals are proudly displayed on the honours boards within the clubhouse. The club has remained a beloved institution within the community, offering a space for both competitive bowls and casual enjoyment of the sport.
