Welcome to Guinness Park Equestrian Centre, located near the picturesque Malvern Hills in New Zealand. Our riding school offers a range of fantastic rides and hacks along beautiful bridlepaths and other routes, taking you all the way up to Birchwood at the end of the hills.
At Guinness Park, we cater to riders of all levels, from nervous beginners to experienced riders looking to enhance their skills. We warmly welcome riders of all ages, with a minimum age requirement of 4 years old. Parents can rest assured that their children will be well taken care of, as we have attentive staff keeping a watchful eye at all times.
We offer both group lessons and private one-to-one lessons to accommodate different preferences. Group lessons usually last for an hour, while private lessons are available for either half an hour or an hour. Our knowledgeable instructors are well-versed in teaching a variety of activities, including dressage, show jumping, and event riding (weather permitting).
Group lessons are primarily scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays, providing a perfect opportunity for riders to bond and learn together. Additionally, we have group rides specifically designed for children and novice adults. These rides mostly take place on the farm or in the nearby vicinity. However, for more experienced adult riders, we venture further afield on Sunday mornings following the children's group lessons.
During these rides, you will have the chance to canter and even try some jumping, depending on your skill level.
In addition to lessons and rides, we offer a range of other services and activities. These include Pony Club days, where young riders can learn more about horsemanship and have fun with fellow enthusiasts. We also provide hacking and riding out opportunities, allowing riders to explore the scenic countryside surrounding our equestrian centre.
For those looking to celebrate special occasions, such as birthdays or hen parties, we offer pony parties and rides tailored to your needs. It's a unique and memorable way to gather your friends and enjoy a horseback adventure.
