Our weekly school, led by the remarkable Anna McNamara, offers a range of classes in ballet, tap, jazz, singing, drama, and musical theatre for individuals of all abilities. Operating every Saturday during term time, the Guildford Theatre School is divided into different age groups, including infants, juniors, inters, and seniors. We firmly believe that everyone, regardless of age or experience, has the capability to achieve extraordinary things, and our teachers strive to inspire and motivate each and every student.
At the Guildford Theatre School, we take pride in our traditional approach to dancing, singing, and drama training. Our highly experienced and industry-trained teachers have themselves trained at some of the nation's most prestigious performing arts institutions. Their expertise, combined with their passion for nurturing young talent, ensures that every student receives top-notch instruction and guidance.
As part of our commitment to providing valuable performance experiences, the Guildford Theatre School participates in the Guildford Summer Youth Project and organises sell-out showcases held annually at major professional theatres in Guildford. These opportunities allow our students to showcase their skills and gain confidence on stage. Additionally, we offer the chance for students to be entered for examinations in all disciplines through recognised boards such as the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) and Trinity College London.
