Whether you are a beginner with little to no experience in hand-to-hand combat or someone who has dabbled in martial arts but feels the need to enhance their skills, we have the perfect programme for you. We cater to individuals at every stage of their self-defence journey.
With regular practise and training, our students progress through the four stages of competence. In the first stage of unconscious incompetence, we help individuals who feel uneasy in public spaces and worry about potential attacks. In the second stage of conscious incompetence, we assist those who recognise their lack of skill in self-defence and are eager to learn more.
Through our expert training, students achieve conscious competence, where they can execute various techniques with accuracy and speed. Finally, in the fourth stage of unconscious competence, self-defence becomes second nature, and students can defend themselves without even thinking about it.
Led by Kyoshi Doug Griffith, an esteemed 8th Dan black belt, Griffith's Kempo Ju Jitsu offers unparalleled expertise and guidance. With an emphasis on stick work, drills, throws, locks, strangles, pressure points, fitness, pad work, grappling, and knife work, we cover a wide range of techniques to ensure a comprehensive self-defence education.
Griffith's Kempo Ju Jitsu offers classes for both children and adults. Children's classes are held on Sundays at 14:00, while adult classes are available on Mondays from 20:15 to 21:45.
