Greerton Marist Rugby Club in Tauranga is a central hub for passionate rugby, netball, and darts enthusiasts. With a rich history, the club offers a supportive and competitive environment for all.
The club loves its Friday Club Nights, starting at 6:30pm. There are darts competitions and a membership draw. Netball POD games also happen then, giving players a chance to show their skills.
Rugby is a big focus here. The senior team, premiers, are coached by Simon Karl, Jason Shepard, Richie Kingi, and Brendon McKeown. Tane Howe, Lee Porter, and Blair Tristram lead the Development team. Daniel Barlow, Nate Hohaia, and Alex Mankelow guide the Colts. The Women's team, coached by Archie Carter, Andrew Boyd, Mark Decke, and Dan Deveraux, adds to the club's diverse rugby scene.
There's also a thriving netball programme, welcoming players of all levels. For 2023, there are three dedicated teams. Maria and the team are always looking for more coaches, umpires, managers, and supporters.
The darts club meets on Fridays for fun games, currently played in pairs but singles nights might be on the horizon.
