Greensands Fishery is a fishing club and pond located in Hatch, Sandy, Bedfordshire. It is a small day ticket fishery situated in the peaceful countryside, just outside Sandy, offering both pleasure and match angling opportunities.
Established 14 years ago by fishery owner Chris Rose, Greensands is a testament to his passion for angling and his commitment to delivering a professional experience for all anglers. The prominent species in the pond are carp ranging from 1lb to 8lb, with an abundance of chub. In spring 2011, the fishery underwent a re-stocking with over 6,000 F1's, roach, and skimmers being introduced into lake 2. This makes it the perfect venue for both pleasure and experienced match anglers, especially during the winter months.
The fishery features 40 pegs split over two lakes, with purpose-built platforms ensuring safe and comfortable fishing. Onsite facilities include excellent and secure car parking, as well as a lodge and toilets for the convenience of anglers.

Rules at Greensands Fishery include using keepnets only in booked matches, limiting the weight in each net to 50lbs, and using barbless hooks only, with a maximum size of 12. There are specific bait restrictions such as no luncheon meat, cat meat, bloodworm, or joker. Only expanders are allowed for trout pellets, and no fish can be removed or introduced to the lakes. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, and all anglers must have a current rod licence.
Night fishing, dogs, and swimming are not allowed, and anglers are responsible for removing all litter from the lakes.
Open Matches are a regular feature at Greensands Fishery, with weights up to and over 100lbs during the summer months and backing weights exceeding 50lbs. The fishery boasts two purpose-built lakes, each with 20 pegs and a uniform depth of around five feet in the middle and 13 metres wide. The best bait choices vary throughout the year, but pellet and maggot tend to be the most successful options. Paste fishing is also permitted and has resulted in impressive weights during the summer.
