Welcome to Great Moor Sailing Club, located on the stunning Grebe Lake in North Buckinghamshire. Whether you're an experienced sailor or a novice looking to learn the art of dinghy sailing, we warmly welcome new members of all ages and abilities.
With approximately 300 memberships, Great Moor Sailing Club is a vibrant community that caters to a wide range of interests. Our primary focus is on supporting and promoting sailing, but our club also appeals to those with other interests due to our extensive land and water facilities.
Organised sailing takes place every Sunday throughout the year, except February. We encourage social sailing during races and provide race results on our website. For those interested in racing, we offer competitive races and also make our club crafts available for hire to members. However, if racing doesn't appeal to you, don't worry!
We have no restrictions on the use of the lake, except during open meetings or workdays.
At Great Moor Sailing Club, we value education and offer training in both sailing and power craft. As an RYA recognised training centre, we provide courses to help develop your skills. The clubhouse boasts a warm log burner during the winter months, along with a galley service on Sunday lunchtimes and a bar. Our site also features a number of paths that allow you to explore the surrounding woodland and glades.
We are fortunate to have a high number of members who are accredited RYA instructors, willing to dedicate their time to improving the sailing abilities of our members. This enables us to keep training costs affordable, providing tremendous opportunities for training at all levels.
Join us at Great Moor Sailing Club and become part of a thriving sailing community in Buckingham. Come and take a look – we're a club for all ages, all abilities, and all seasons.
