Check out Great Horton Park Chapel Cricket Club in Bradford! Kirk, the organiser, invites players of all ages and skill levels to join this welcoming cricket community. They’ve got four men’s teams—three in the Halifax League and one in the Bradford & District Evening League—a ladies' softball team, and an under-9s junior side, with an under-11s team coming soon.
Kirk is looking for enthusiastic individuals to help with the junior age groups as they aim to expand junior cricket for both boys and girls. Training sessions kick off every Tuesday evening from 6:00 pm at the Ewart Street Ground starting mid-April. Senior Winter nets are on Mondays from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm at Thornton recreation centre.
Thanks to local sponsors like Dean Bedford Joinery and New Look Interiors, the club keeps improving both on and off the field. A new kitchen at the clubhouse, courtesy of New Look Interiors, adds to the comfort for members and visitors.
Partnering with Bradford Park Avenue Ladies Cricket, Kirk has also introduced women and girls cricket sessions at Ewart Street. These sessions, led by female coaches, provide a supportive environment for all skill levels.
For the young ones, all-star cricket sessions for kids aged 5 to 8 are held every Friday evening at 6:00 pm. Keep an eye on the club’s social media for registration details.
