Welcome to Gracie Barra Street, a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Martial Arts Academy located in the heart of Somerset. Whether you have been considering trying Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, Muay Thai, MMA, or simply looking for a fun and engaging way to get in shape, we are here to help. Our academy is located at 56 West End, Street, Somerset, BA16 0LW.

Under the guidance of our Owner and Head Coach, Professor Richard Weatherall, a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Second-Degree Black Belt, we offer classes that cater to individuals of all abilities. Whether you are a complete novice looking to improve your fitness or an experienced player, we have a class for you.

Our programmes are designed to benefit students of all ages, from our “Tiny Champions” programme for children aged 4 and up, to our Advanced “GB2” programme that sharpens the skills of experienced players up to Black Belt level and beyond. We believe in the values of Gracie Barra Jiu Jitsu and our other martial arts programmes, and aim to instil these values in all our students.

In addition to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, we also offer programmes in Boxing, Muay Thai, and MMA. Our boxing training teaches you how to throw punches with power and efficiency while mastering footwork and movement. Muay Thai training improves mobility, flexibility, and general fitness in a friendly and united environment. Our MMA classes combine the expertise of Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, Boxing, and Muay Thai to provide a well-rounded course.

All our instructors are trained to the highest standards through the Gracie Barra Certification Programme and are highly qualified in their respective areas of expertise. They continuously seek to further their own personal development by regularly updating their training and qualifications. Our instructors are not only knowledgeable and skilled, but also passionate about their role. They strive to bring out the best in all our students.
