Grace Academy Dance Studio is a dance school located in Caboolture, Queensland. They offer a range of dance classes for boys and girls aged 3 to 13 years old. The school welcomes students of all dance ability levels and caters to a wide range of experiences.
Their classes are designed to be both fun and educational, incorporating dance techniques from various styles, as well as teaching choreography for performances. The school aims to provide a holistic dance education that nurtures both the physical and creative development of the students.
Grace Academy offers four different levels of classes: Petite Academy, Mini Academy, Young Academy, and Junior Academy. These classes are tailored to the specific age groups and provide age-appropriate instruction and challenges.
In the Petite Academy, students born in 2018 and 2019 will receive a taste of everything, focusing on coordination, movement, rhythm, basic technique, and free movement. The class is split into two halves, with one focusing on ballet technique and the other on jazz technique. Classes take place at Grace Lutheran College Caboolture on Tuesdays from 3:30pm to 4:15pm.
For the Mini Academy, students born in 2016 and 2017 can choose between jazz and ballet classes. These classes focus on building the foundation of basic skills and techniques. Ballet classes take place on Wednesdays from 3:30pm to 4:15pm, and jazz classes are scheduled for Wednesdays from 4:15pm to 5:00pm (subject to confirmation).
The Young Academy is designed for students born in 2014 and 2015 and offers jazz, ballet, hip hop, and lyrical/contemporary classes. These classes continue building on the skills learned in the Mini Academy, with more complex and intricate movements. Classes take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at various times.
In the Junior Academy, students born between 2010 and 2013 will learn and understand musicality, strength, flexibility, rhythm, and expand their repertoire of dance steps. Enrolment in Junior Academy classes is subject to assessment of ability by the Dance teacher. Classes take place on Wednesdays and Thursdays at various times.
Grace Academy also offers an Advanced Academy, which is by invitation only. This programme is for dedicated and talented dancers who wish to further develop their skills.
