Being a form of combat. At Goyararu Martial Arts Wirral, we believe in the holistic practise of martial arts, combining Karate, Kung-Fu, and Boxing for both adults and children. Our aim is to help individuals find physical, emotional, and philosophical balance through the practise of these noble art forms.

Goyararu, with its symbolic name and elements from Tibet, translates to “Path to the Mind via the Physical body” in Sanskrit. While many perceive martial arts solely as combat techniques, we understand that combat is not the only essence of these art forms. Our ultimate goal is to refine and develop the finer human qualities through constant and disciplined training.

Unlike other training centres that focus solely on combat, violence, and arrogance, Goyararu places great importance on the philosophy behind the arts. We believe that by understanding oneself deeply, individuals can learn to be more tolerant and accepting of others. Our teachings have no bias or persuasion towards any religion, colour, age, race, or gender.

Goyararu Martial Arts Wirral offers a unique blend of different techniques, including unyielding and direct Karate, continuous and circular Kung-Fu, British fist fighting Boxing, Indian upper body combat/conditioning Muka Bazi, weapons training Gatika, merciless and uncompromising Sena Dasi (Yang), and yielding and flowing Tai Chi (Yin).

The founder of Goyararu, Terry Ezra, emphasises the courage, faith, and tolerance of past Masters who tirelessly searched for deeper knowledge. Goyararu is committed to carrying on this tradition and helping individuals reach their goals through martial arts training.

If you're interested in joining our classes, we offer lessons for both kids and adults throughout the week. Our lessons include kid's classes on Mondays and Thursdays, adult classes on Mondays and Thursdays, Tia Chi on Tuesdays, and a fitness class on Wednesdays. Each lesson is only 5, and you are welcome to bring a friend along to watch or join in.
