All classes take place at the Methodist Church Hall on South Parade in Sutton Coldfield. The Junior Class is held on Mondays from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, while the Adult Class is held on Mondays from 8:00pm to 9:30pm.
Sensei Mark Peckett, a 5th dan instructor, has been practising aikido for 40 years and teaching for over 30 years. He believes that aikido is not just an excellent form of self-defence and a way to improve physical fitness and flexibility but also a means to make everyday life better.
Aikido is a comprehensive martial art that encompasses throwing, joint-locking, striking, and pinning techniques, as well as training with traditional Japanese weapons.
