Mandatory. We were also expected to attend 1–2 seminars a month with senior students travelling all over the world for training. When I graduated from the program in 2004, I was asked to teach at the Black Belt dojo. I continued to train through college and my Masters in Psychology.
Sensei had trained me in teaching adults and children. Eventually seenaei had gotten cancer it was lung cancer and was dying. He asked me to take over the dojo. With help of senior students present and the blessings of my parents and Chiba Sensei, I signed the lease for Goldstream Aikikai.
Goldstream Aikikai remains a direct reflection of my training with Sensei. Our training is intense, focused and conditioning in a safe, open and welcoming environment. We focus upon basic arts, ki and kokyu skills or principle-based technique. We are a direct line from Aikikai Hombu Dojo in Japan.
Goldstream Aikikai has been and remains my top priority.
